Resetting your bad Day – Part 1

Introduction

What is a bad day?

Bad is a subjective word and varies from person to person and so is ‘Bad Day’. I have a friend who says that he is not capable of working on cloudy days. My Son who has turned 13 this year, believes that if he gets scolded during the morning hours, he would be scolded all day long. A few years back when I was not me, my wife used to tell me, I got angry at each and everything that came my way. I used to carry a frowny face all the time. They are all examples of a day when someone believed is turning into a bad day.

Various reasons to trigger a bad day

People born with silver spoons, if they lose money in the share market, the day is bad. An employee could not present his idea well in front of his supervisor, it is a bad day for him. The interviewer could not be satisfied with your answer, that is a bad day. You are getting late to your office and found that your clothes are not straight, it is a bad day. There are situations when sneezing is believed to bring bad omen if you are about to start a new day or new task. A black cat crossing your way can be bad in your thoughts. It is possible that you get scolded by your boss, you have a fight with your spouse, or traffic is clogged while you are driving to the office and you could not reach on time. There can be millions of scenarios to trigger a bad day. Our intelligence labels trifle things as bad events making the day a “Bad Day”.  Hence, we can say if you start looking at things in a negative way, your bad day starts. There are days when you converse with yourself that you are terrible and it starts making you feel small.

Reasons to trigger a bad day:

  • Short term problems – Most of the time short term problems trigger the bad day. For example:  Getting late for the office and you are still searching for an important piece of paper or you are getting ready for an interview and you are not happy with the way your tie matches with your suit. Your kid is not well and there is an important client visit in your office,  you are in a fix. It is possible that you hit somebody’s car while going to the office and that created a lot of hue and cry in the middle of the road. You have to serve a legal notice and pay a hefty amount as compensation.
  • Reminders of long-term problems – A fight long ago, which was a direct hit on your ego keeps reminding you of your insult. A relationship issue with your partner or a financial problem you are going to face due to some of your bad decisions. A pending court case is making your days terrible.
  • Bad Dreams – Bad dreams also trigger bad day.
  • Bad Data – Our sense organs register millions of bits of data if we see a terrible thing or hear a gruesome incident it remains with us all day long

When you give up

But in reality, days are never bad. Every day is a new day and has the potential to bring enormous attainment in our lives. it is our action that is not congruent to our expectation and we say the Day is bad. Once a negative thought creeps in our mind it creates hopelessness and disappointments. Our mind believes something, and the body does not respond as per the mind expectation, it creates a bad day. As we have heard a number of times, the mind creates matter. Our strong belief system creates situations which triggers the series of unfortunate incidents. We face unfortunate events one after another and sometimes we are so terribly stuck in it that we say to God, “OK God! I give up.” A bad day is as real as you create it. We desperately want to stop these undesirable events and reset our day to save this day. Both a plus and a minus point is when we realize that our day is screwed up, we already have spent a significant number of hours of the day. Good thing is that we still want to save the day and the bad thing is we have lost those many hours of the day and only a few hours left to bring the day back on track. Actually, the day is bad for those who are underprivileged, who do not have food to eat, who do not have shelter to sleep, or a person suffering from the terminal disease on his deathbed.

It is very important to understand our own world to handle the situation better. All of us have an inner world and an outer world. A small negative change in the inner world creates a lot of chaos in the outer world. If we know well how to handle our inner world or precisely if we know how to handle our body and mind, we can bring a significant change in our outer world. It is difficult to deal with everyone in this world. So the best way is to train our minds so that you remain calm in all unexpected and undesirable situations. Cortisol is a hormone that is responsible for creating anxiety, fear, and phobias. In other words, it is needed for the famous “Fight or Flight”. Usually, these hormones have a lot of good effects but overproduction or underproduction causes different diseases. So a person continuously under stress is more susceptible to face medical conditions like high blood pressure, fat on stomach and hips area loss of hair, etc.

The Signal !!!

March 2020

============

It was the month of March. The season changed in Sydney. The beautiful Spring season brought freshness everywhere.

We recently shifted to a new apartment. There was one room on the third floor which I made as my healing room. Here I practice my therapy such as Hypnotherapy, sound therapy, and other forms of healing. I also keep this room energized all the time by Crystals, flowers, flowing water, winds, and candles. I keep the environment conducive for all kinds of therapy, healing, and meditation practices. After every therapy session, I clear out the energy emitted during the session. These therapies are useful to those who are suffering from any psychological and emotional issues. Here I get some quiet time for my meditation and yogic practices as well. This room is secluded and there is minimum interference from kids and any other visitors.

Every now and then I meditate at mid-night for minimal interference. Usually, I meditate for one and half hours to two hours. Earlier it was very difficult for me to sit for even half an hour. Things changed recently. I can meditate for a long time nowadays.

One day while meditating I heard that my neighbor’s water tap was on and there was a sound of water flowing out. After some time the tap water stopped. It started again after few seconds and took few seconds to stop. It kept repeating and I was wondering in the night why someone is playing with a water tap in the dead of night.

The next day in the morning when I sat for meditation, I felt the same way. I was not sure if my kids were playing with the water tap or someone in my neighborhood is playing with it. I was annoyed with this sound. I felt that I made a mistake by renting this house as someone is obsessed with the water tap in the neighborhood.

The next day it happened again. It kept repeating every day and night. But it was surprising why this playful person was active with the water tap only when I meditate and absent all other times. I was so annoyed that one day I asked my sons, why they play with the water tap at mid-night. They were completely ignorant of what I was talking about. They were completely clueless. Later my wife joined them and they all started mocking me around. They were asking me if the meditation had made me crazy. That was the moment when I realized there could be something related to meditation as well. Next time I was very careful. The next day when I started meditating the sound was absent. Neither I heard any water sound nor any tap on or tap off the sound. It continued for few days. In the next few days, I did not hear such a sound. To my very surprise when I was meditating the next day suddenly this sound arrived again. As I become cautious of the sound, it disappeared. The next day it happened again. It arrived and after my being cautious it disappeared. It continued for the next few days till I realized that it is nothing else but my own breath. The process of breathing in and breathing out was getting magnified by my consciousness that it sounds like water taps on and off. After few minutes when the mind and body calm down, breathing becomes deeper and deeper. With every inhalation, I experienced as someone is moving the water tap to on position and with every exhalation, It sounded as if somebody is moving the tap to off positions.

The next day when I sat with this understanding in my mind, there was no sound. After that this weird sound disappeared completely and never came back.

I had so many unanswered questions till now and my mind started searching for answers to all those questions. Question1: Why did it stop for few days in between? Question2: Why tap on and tap off sound? Questions3: Why did it stop ever since I realized the sound is coming from my own breathing.

I had the answers to the questions: Perhaps I became cautious and was not going deep enough while meditating, which stopped the sound completely. Later when I was conscious about the reason, it stopped the sound.

Time To Feel your Own Eternal Self

Keep yourself Busy and Engaged in this undesirable time. An extra-ordinary situation has eclipsed the humanity. Each and every country in the world is devastated and trying to avoid as many deaths as possible due to this sudden outbreak of Corona Virus Disease – 19. More than 80% population is house locked and only allowed to go outside for essential things. In this time of self-confinement it is very important to understand that nature has provided this awesome opportunity to experience some wonderful things in our lives, which we have been very close since our birth or youth, but never felt them so firmly.

Sun rise and sun set is not locked down, this is the best time to experience it everyday. Witness the changing colour of sky in the dawn and dusk. It is fascinating to watch sun rise while moon is still present in the sky. Chirping of the bird during the sunrise and sunset is something we have not noticed since longtime. This is the perfect time to keep your body, mind and soul pure.
Get up early in the morning to start the day with some Yoga poses, Chanting to invigorate your energy meridians, Breath in rhythm to change the way your body respond to all wonderful things. Meditate for an hour or so to relax your body, mind and soul. In a healthy mind and body, healthy thoughts will initiate and emotion can be felt.
During this period of lock down, sit quietly, go into your childhood and see what did you like most. Spending sometime with your old hobby will bring forth a nostalgic and nice feeling.
Family plays a significant role in our lives, this is the perfect time to spend time with our spouse, kids and parents. Helping parents / Spouse in kitchen or home give you satisfaction.
We all are so busy with our own stuff, that we unconsciously ignore ourselves. Being mindful about all these small things will open up all the great channels of communicating with the universe. An absolute opportunity to experience your own eternal self.

So What Happens After Death

*Disconnection of the earth sole chakras*

Approximately 4–5 hours before death, the earth sole chakras situated below the feet gets detached … symbolizing disconnection from the earth plane !!

A few hours before an individual dies, their feet turn cold. When the actual time to depart arrives, it is said that Yama, the God of death appears to guide the soul.

*The Astral Cord*

Death severs the astral cord, which is the connection of the soul to the body. Once this cord is cut the soul becomes free of the body and moves up and out of the body.

If the soul is attached to the physical body it occupied for this lifetime, it refuses to leave and tries to get into the body and move it and stay in it. We may observe this as a very subtle or slight movement of the face, hand or leg after the person has died.

The soul is unable to accept that it is dead. There is still a feeling of being alive. Since the astral cord has been severed, the soul cannot stay here and is pushed upwards and out of the body. There is a pull from above … a magnetic pull to go up.

*End of the physical body*

At this stage the soul hears many voices, all at the same time. These are the thoughts of all the individuals present in the room.

The soul on its part talks to his loved ones like he always did n shouts out “I am not dead” !!

But alas, nobody hears him…

Slowly and steadily the soul realizes that it is dead and there is no way back. At this stage, the soul is floating at approx 12 feet or at the height of the ceiling, seeing and hearing everything happening around.

Generally the soul floats around the body till it is cremated. So, the next time if you see a body being carried for cremation, be informed that the soul is also part of the procession seeing, hearing and witnessing everything and everyone.

*Detachment from the body*

Once the cremation is complete, the soul is convinced that. the main essence of its survival on earth is lost and the body it occupied for so many years has merged into the five elements.

The soul experiences complete freedom, the boundaries it had while being in the body are gone and it can travel anywhere by mere thought.

For 7 days the soul, moves about its places of interest like its favorite joint, morning walk garden, office, etc. If the soul is possessive of his money, it will just stay near his cupboard, or if he is possessive of his children, it will just be in their room, clinging on to them.

By the end of the 7th day, the soul says bye to his family and moves further upwards to the periphery of the earth plane to cross over to the other side.

*The Tunnel*

Its said that there is a big tunnel here which it has to cross before reaching the astral plane. Hence its said that the first 12 days after death are extremely crucial.

We have to carry out the rituals correctly and pray and ask forgiveness from the soul, so that it does not carry negative emotions like hurt, hatred, anger, etc atleast from the near and dear ones.

All the rituals, prayers and positive energy act like food for the soul which will help it in its onward journey. At the end of the tunnel is a huge bright light signifying the entry into the astral world.

*Meeting the Ancestors*

On the 11th n 12th day Hindus conduct homas and prayers and rituals through which the soul is united with its ancestors, close friends, relatives and the guides.

All the passed away ancestors welcome the soul to the upper plane and they greet and hug them exactly like we do here on seeing our family members after a long time.

The soul then along with its guides are taken for a thorough life review of the life just completed on earth in the presence of the *Great Karmic Board.* It is here in the pure light that the whole past life is viewed !!

*Life Review*

There is no judge, there is no God here. The soul judges himself, the way he judged others in his lifetime. He asks for revenge for people who troubled him in that life, he experiences. guilt for all wrongdoings he did to people and asks for self punishment to learn that lesson. Since the soul is not bound by the body and. the ego, the final judgment becomes the basis of the next lifetime.

Based on this, a complete life structure is created by the soul himself, called the blue print. All the incidents to be faced, all problems to be faced, all challenges to be overcome are written in this agreement.

In fact the soul chooses all the minute details like age, person and circumstances for all incidents to be experienced.

Example : An individual had severe headache in his present birth, nothing helped him, no medicines, no way out. In a session of past life regression, he saw himself killing his neighbour in a previous birth by smashing his head with a huge stone.

In the life review, when he saw this he became very guilty and. asked for the same pain to be experienced by him by way of a never ending headache in this life.

*Blue print*

This is the way we judge ourselves and in guilt ask for punishment. The amount of guilt in the soul, decides the severity of the punishment n level of suffering. Hence forgiveness is very vital. We must forgive and seek forgiveness !!

Clear your thoughts and emotions, as we carry them forward to the other side too. Once this review is done and our blue print for the next life is formed, then there is a cooling period.

*The re-birth*

We are born depending on what we have asked for in the agreement. The cooling off period also depends on our urgency to evolve.

We choose our parents and enter the mothers womb either at the time of egg formation or during the 4–5th month or sometimes even at the last moment just before birth. The universe is so perfect, so beautifully designed that the time and. place of birth constitutes our horoscope, which actually is a blue print of this life. Most of us think that our stars are bad and we are unlucky but in actuality, they just mirror your agreement.

Once we are reborn, for around 40 days the baby remembers its past life and laughs and cries by itself without anyone forcing it to. The memory of the past life is completely cut after this and we experience life as though we did not exist in the past.*

*The agreement starts..*

Its here that we are completely in the earth plane and the contract comes into full effect. We then blame God/people for our difficult situations and. curse God for giving us such a difficult life …

So, the next time before pointing to the Divine, understand that our circumstances are just helping us complete and honor our agreement, which is fully and completely written by us. Whatever we have asked for and pre decided is exactly what we receive !!

Friends, relatives, foes, parents, spouses all have been selected by us in the blue print and come in our lives based on this agreement. They are just playing their parts and are merely actors in this film written, produced and directed by us !!

*Do the Dead need healing / prayers / protection ?*

The dead always need serious healing and. prayers for a variety of reasons, the most important one being … To be free and not earthbound !! … that is stuck in the earth plane and unable to leave.

There are many reasons for the soul to be earthbound like unfinished business, excessive grief, trauma on death, sudden death, fear of moving on to the astral plane, guilt, one of the most important being improper finishing of last rites and rituals.

The soul feels it needs a little more time to wait and finish before moving on. This keeps them hovering on the earth plane. But the time is limited and it is very very important that they cross over within 12 days to their astral plane of existence, as the entry to the astral world closes a few days after this.

Earthbound spirits lead a very miserable existence as they are neither in their actual plane nor in a body to lead an earthly life. They may not be negative or harmful but they are stuck and miserable. Hence healing and prayers are of utmost importance during this period so that the departed soul crosses over to the designated astral plane peacefully.

Prayers by the whole family is very vital to help the dead cross over. The protection of the soul to help it reach its destination in the astral world is achieved through prayers.

Please Do Not Take Death Lightly … Now more than ever most souls are stuck on the earth plane due to lack of belief and family neglect.

Finally, for someone who has lost a near and dear one, don’t feel sad … We never die, we live on, death does not end anything, it is just a little break before we meet again !!

Be your own placebo

Be your own placebo

Thank you, readers, for your valuable comments and guidance. I have been receiving letters on the essentials of healing practices by our esteemed readers. I have decided to present you with a series of blogs on ancient Indian healing practices which are globally acclaimed. The western world has been researching these miraculous healing powers only with partial success.

In the ancient Hindu tradition, each disease is defined with an association with an emotional problem. The oldest book on wellbeing written by great sage “Charak” mentioned in his book “Charak Samhita” that we are the product of environment and three elements ruling good health are Vata (air energy), Pitta (Fire energy) and Kapha (water energy). Any imbalance in our environment directs affects these elements. Mind and body are two important ingredients of life and they need a soul to illuminate them. They look interwind and are dependent on each other, but in reality, they are independent and each one of them has the miraculous power to heal us. Thought initiates in our mind based on our previous experience in the environment in which we spent our time and space since our existence on this planet. An environment is created by religious belief, educational background, our economic and social status. Any changes in our environment create ripples in our mind and hence body and soul tremble. The body gets either emotionally unstable or physically sick. Impact on soul either changes our personality or we treat ourselves unworthy, unwanted and undeserving. In both cases, we feel terrible. All the three attributes of healthy life as defined above can heal these ripples in our inner realm. And by mending our thoughts and emotions, we can change our environment and heal our outward world.

Healing our inner realm

I remember my conversation with Mr. Janardhan Reddy last year while taking a sound bath in Bangalore at AnahatVruksh Foundation regarding the impact of sound on our body as it is composed of 72% of water. Later I read the research paper of Japanese scientist Mr. Masaru Emoto on the impact of our consciousness on the water molecule. The molecular structure of water changes with the change in sound waves. Another research paper by Prof. Rustom Roy from Penn state university in the department of material science describes how healing sound changes its molecular structure. An angle between two hydrogen atoms with Oxygen atom is 104 degrees, but after healing the water it changes to close to 90 degrees. Another example of the effect of human consciousness on water droplets is by Prof Brunt Kipling from the University of Stuttgart how water droplets behave with different personality. He conducted an experiment with 20 different people looking through the microscope and capturing the molecular structure of water. He observed that water droplets behave differently with different people. The photographs of water molecules captured by different human beings were different. But when the experiment was repeated by the same person, he was able to produce a similar molecular structure of the droplets. This proved that water droplets are sensitive to human consciousness.

Hindu temples give holy water to the devotees which are believed to have high healing power. Later it became prevalent in other faiths as well. We heard a lot about this in Christianity and Islam. In Christianity holy water, blessed at the beginning of each lunar month and is kept on the entrance of the churches. Those who want to enter the church are sprinkled with holy water. We hear a lot about the “Well of Zamzam” in Islam. Devotees consider the water of this well as a potion of life. In Hinduism, it’s an old tradition. It has been coming since time immemorial. In the olden times, this holy water could be activated to give life to the dead bodies. I have read in the book Ramayana, an epic on the life of Lord Ram – when there was a war between Ram and Ravana a king of south who was evil and kidnapped Ram’s wife Goddess Sita, holy water was sprinkled by God in heaven to give lives to the apes and bears fighting for Lord Ram. There are many more examples of water giving life to the living being.

Due to the imbalance of water energy or Kaph in our body, we feel following issues in different parts of our body:

In the Brain

An imbalance in Kapha or water energy in the brain brings an unusual heaviness and sluggishness. Brain fog, feeling drowsy and lethargy is common. It creates depression, loss of consciousness and also diabetes.

In The Digestive Tract

An unusual feeling of fullness in the stomach and loss of appetite is the common phenomenon. Nausea, excess salivation, a sweet taste in the mouth, indigestion, diarrhea, and pre-diabetic symptoms. Also dangerous disease such as anorexia nervosa ( A complete loss of appetite) and blood and pus in the stools.

In the Respiratory System

Running nose, cough, and cold is the first symptom, congestion in the sinuses, throat, and chest. In a more serious level, it can cause infection in the chest, throat, fluid in the lungs (Tuberculosis), etc.

In the Circulatory System, Skin, Muscles, and Adipose Tissue

As Kapha accumulates in these areas, it may cause lymphatic congestion, swollen lymph glands, mild (and intermittent) hypertension, hives, itching, pallor, cold sweats, reduced sweating, loss of strength, the formation of lipomas, and/or weight gain. Long-standing Kapha disturbance can lead to varicose veins with thrombus, deep vein thrombosis, stagnation of the blood, hardening of the vessels, severely high cholesterol, profuse edema, solid edema, congestive heart failure, leukemia, hypertension, hypertrophy, extreme hypotonia, obesity, and the formation of malignant fatty tumors such as liposarcomas.

Elsewhere in the Body

Excess Kapha is also behind water retention, excess urination, low grade fevers, fungal infections, excess ear wax, dental tartar, excess hair growth, low libido, an exaggerated desire for sex, premature ejaculation (emotional), enlarged prostate, cold or heavy testicles, fibrocystic lumps, leucorrhea, and prolonged, slow menstrual cycles. Imbalanced Kapha can also cause a foul smell, swelling and stiffness in the joints, a sense of heaviness in the eyes, whiteness in the urine, eyes, or feces, impacted wisdom teeth, tumors, goiter, an enlarged spleen, an enlarged liver, glaucoma, protruded eyes, gangrene, fibroid tumors, gall stones, calcifications, bone spurs, osteoma, scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis, hydrocephalus, neurofibromas, prostatic calculi, endometriosis, and cystic ovaries.

In the next blog, I will present easy ways to curb these diseases by changing in your water energy

Change your belief to change your reality

We build our belief system based on our conditioning from the outside world. Five senses of human body are responsible for gathering information from social, educational, economic and religious status. This conditioning generates thoughts in abundance, which never stops. When we encounter a situation again and again we develop a neuropath in our brain based on our previous experience. This path ultimately turns into us believe what we believe. When we start believing something, we start living in that space. Slowly and slowly, it becomes our reality.
A person who always ask, “Why Me?” in a difficult situation. He experiences this difficult situation again and again in life and starts believing the fact, he is destined to live in a difficult situation and thus it becomes his reality. We need to change our belief system to make our new reality. For example: a person who had seen his parents always in financial difficulties, later he finds himself in similar challenges. It is because, since his childhood he has made this situation his belief and eventually made this reality.
My eternal self is all about learning to change your reality. You will learn the methods to enhance your belief system and hence enhance your life.

How Much Past is Present

Most common question we ask ourselves when in distress – “Why me?” Answer is not so simple. What we know and remember is something in our mind. But beyond mind there is a sub-conscious mind, which has the information we are not aware of. Similarly, our body carries the traits and features of our ancestors even though we have no clue about our grand-parents or great grand-parents. Did the seed of this distress was sown long before your birth? We will see these points one after another.

Mind is a complex concept which has no physical existence. People have different definition of mind. Some say that mind consists of whole body senses, present and memories, all kind of sensation etc. Yet others say, it is a software which reside in our brain. There is another hypothesis, according to which, mind is a virtual sphere whose centre point is our naval and radius is 1.5 times of our heights. They are all hypothesis, and no one has physically seen and experienced mind. The most logical definition which I found in Bhagvad Gita. Beyond body there is intellect, Ego, remembrance and intelligence. All these make up mind. Intellect is a slave of our ego, and intelligence is above all. Apart from our body and mind, there is an energy body. Physical body is gross, mind is subtle and energy body is subtler. When we come down to earth, we come along with our Karma. Karma is attached with our body, mind and energy body. It is all because of this Karma, we get indulged into specific situation and our ego gets hurt, which in turn leaves its impression on our intellect. Our remembrance preserves it and intelligence makes us aware of any such situation in the future

Another dimension is the family connection. We come down on earth with gene imprints of our ancestors. What we are today had been sown long back, may be when we were still in the wombs of our mothers. There are experimentally established facts – People carries the trauma prevailing in the family up to three generations. According to some cultures, this belief can be for seven generations. But here we will go by the science (Refer: It didn’t start with you – Mark Wolynn). This verifies the fact that family Karma is also important. Hence, it is necessary to look at the distress, disease, hurt, trauma, pain with respect to different dimensions.

Our Existence – Real or Illusion

“Do we really exist”? A question igniting the human minds which wanted to take a leap to divinity has been coming from ages. Does sensation in our body makes us aware that we exist, or the hunger according to the circadian clock makes us feel real. Is it that when our rising emotions make us happy and sad or we know our thoughts inventing great things in the world are not apparition.
This question has no meaning if the person sitting appears calm outside but fighting inside with his thoughts and struggling with his emotions. Flow of thoughts makes him aware that he is a real being and not an illusion.
But are these thoughts real? Does it have any physical existence? Our thoughts have no meaning unless they are manifested. Hence thoughts itself is not real. The mind which provides the playground for thoughts is that real? There is no organ in the body called mind. According to some thinkers, mind is a software which resides in brain.Different people has defined mind with different names. People feel, along with the senses of sense organs, emotions and thoughts they all comprise of mind. According to a research, when we are in fight or flight mode, these senses mean little less to our body. In this situation body is taken over by adrenaline and cortisol. Release of hormones is a process when body faces specific situation. Again, these situations are created by our thoughts. Hence this body is driven by both physical objects and by virtual objects. We consciously observe our changing emotions and thoughts, release of hormones or senses experienced by our body we understand we really exit.
We became aware of our energy body. We physically start sensing the energy confluence. We see our bodies separating. We know how to extract the information stored in the brain from this birth and all our past existence. We know cosmos has all the information available in abundance. We are open to attract all information from cosmos. This is the moment when we realize that we are not just we, we are energy which changes its form. Now it is in our thoughts and the very next moment it will become emotions. Hence, we realize that we are not just a body, we are by far more than this body. This “realization” has the answer how much we exist.
